These GrizzlyStik Safari's didn't meet the strict quality control tolerences we have in place for our premium GrizzlyStik full length tapered carbon arrows. They may have been too heavy or too light, they may not have been as straight as we require, and they may be too light in spine or too heavy in spine to have made the grade. When they're rejected, for whatever reason, they're set aside and we sell them as stump shooters because they still shoot great and are as tough as ever. Still, we want you to know that they are nat matched in any way and that they are out of spec. They will not shoot or certainly not group like our regular matched sets, that's why we call them seconds. We're selling them at a really low price and they're still fine arrows for stump shooting and small game hunting or flu-flus.
The GrizzlyStik Safari is designed and built for the largest, toughest and most dangerous of game animals. Big animals with fibrous skin, thick ribs, horns, teeth and claws. For a growing number of experienced bowhunters of dangerous game, the Safari has become the standard for Cape and Asiatic Buffalo.
It has the same features as the tough Alaskan but at 16 grains per inch at full length, the Safari is the strongest and heaviest production shaft available.
Finished Safari arrows weigh in at approximately 550 and 650+ grains including a 125 to 250+ grain head and are designed to be shot out of bows between 55 and 100+ pounds draw weight.
The Safari , full length at 32.5" BOP, comes with brass point inserts and push-in, tunable white nocks. Since not all bows in the same draw weight are alike, for best arrow flight, it is highly recommended that the customer tune the shaft to the bow. Besides adjusting point weight, tuning the arrow to the bow often requires cutting the shaft to adjust the spine.
If you request the shafts cut to length in our shop, a $1.50 service charge will be added.
NOTE: Once the shafts are cut to length, they cannot be returned. The brass point insert is back threaded to accept our internal point weight system.
BIG FIVE AND DANGEROUS GAME HUNTERS: By adding internal point weights and stronger and heavier broadheads, i.e. Ashby Broadhead, a 900+ grains arrow with 25% FOC can be achieved.
