The Story Behind Momentum U-FOC Arrows:
“You’ve got to make them lighter and stiffer.” That was the challenge from Dr. Ed Ashby, the man responsible for proving to the bowhunting world what really works on big game and what does not. His studies had proven the penetration superiority of arrows with extreme FOC (forward of center) and ultra FOC. His research revealed that, just like you can’t have too much penetration, you can’t have too much FOC. And, to get the most penetration possible, FOC figures of 20% and greater are the goal.
Initially, the problem with engineering such an arrow was the physical limitation of available materials. You just couldn’t make tapered arrows lighter and stiffer with conventional materials. The solution was nano-fused carbon technology. By utilizing ultra-light, ultra-strong nano carbon, we were able to successfully create the first and only full length tapered nano-carbon arrow. With the Momentums, you can reach optimum mass weight AND ultra-foc for arrows that hit hard, penetrate deep, and give you a flat trajectory to boot!
Another issue we faced was the fact that many of our customers were shooting compound bows in the 65-75 pound range. They needed a GrizzlyStik that would perform from their high-performance bows. Knowing that, we tested Momentum U-FOC’s on the most popular compounds and kept tweaking until we found the perfect ratio of stiffness to mass weight. The added stiffness made tuning much easier and the lighter mass-weight gave the kind of trajectories these shooters were used to. We nailed it. This arrow is perfect for compound shooters! (But can be shot from longbows and recurve bows as well.)

Available Sizes/Spines: 4560 and 6580 (Our 4560 Momentums are for bows approximately 45# - 60# and the 6580's are for bows approximately 65# - 80#. Since tapered arrows recover much more quickly than parallel arrows, we don’t stress the actual deflection number, we use approximate bow weights to designate spine.)

I would like to take a moment to thank you for helping Jake put together
the best equipment available for my first bow hunt.
I shot a Catalina Ram (goat) from a 16 foot stand at 21 yards. The shot was
a clean pass through both lungs. Upon arrow impact the Ram bolted and
after 35 yards dropped dead with a groan.
I used a new Momentum UFOC 4560 cut to 27 inches with a 175 grain
Samurai Broad-head at 22% FOC. The total arrow weight was 540.5 grains
at a speed of 176 fps. The configuration is based on sound science and is
a major source of confidence and satisfaction to a beginning bow-hunter.
The arrow was propelled by a Bow-Tech 2010 Soldier set at 42lbs.
Probably won't go back to rifle hunting. This has truly been a life changing
event.

Life has been crazy. just got off the hunt and we had a blast. There were a lot of firsts both for my father and I and some great bonding as well as learning situations-overall I shot a 175+- LB Boar and a 7/8 curl black Hawaiian Ram, Dad shot a Catalina ram goat. "All done with momentum arrows."
